PSA Africa was founded in 1997 to supply precision instrumentation to industry for the detection of atmospheric and respiratory hazards. Today our product range extends to high quality gas, alcohol and substance abuse monitoring systems used to maintain safety in the workplace and on our roads.
We are an authorised service centre for a number of international instrument brands, and are certified to carry out all the necessary support services such as maintenance, calibration and training. (Applicable to South Africa and some African countries).

With more than 35 years of combined staff experience, PSA Africa have become the market leaders in South Africa and boast a complement of authorized services including supply, maintenance, calibration and training. MSA are the global leaders in the development, manufacture and supply of gas detection instruments and PSA Africa have proudly been associated with them for more than 20 years.
Confined Space Division
Confined space is widely spread at oil refining, petrochemical and gas refining plants, in underground compartments, such as oil products storage tanks, underground sewage collectors and many other areas. The hazards which can be faced when entering and working in confined spaces can cause bodily injury, disease and death of the worker.
Substance Abuse Division
PSA Africa have been the exclusive authorized distributors for Lifeloc instruments in Southern Africa since 2005. Lifeloc Technologies is an American-based public company that has been manufacturing easy-to-use, precise and reliable alcohol monitoring instrumentation since 1988.
Lifeloc’s range of professional breathalysers have a proven track record and are used extensively throughout Southern Africa in the workplace and on our roads. PSA Africa cater for all your alcohol detection requirements through our services which include maintenance, calibration, policy formulation and training.
Workplace Safety Division
PSA Africa is an authorised supplier of MSA workplace safety equipment. Our products include respiratory and fall protection equipment for industries such as construction, fire, oil and gas, chemical and mining.
We supply Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) as well as Supplied Air Respirators and Air Purifying Respirators (APR) and a wide range of respirator masks including gas masks, full face masks, disposable masks and all the necessary accessories.
Our comprehensive range of fall protection equipment includes first-class pulleys, safety harnesses, hoists, self-retracting lanyards, rescue kits and the Workman Tripod for work in confined spaces.
Equipment Rental Division
Many of our specialised ranges are available on a rental basis (in some countries) for circumstances such as a once-off occurrence, an annual project or an emergency. Our equipment is well-maintained, regularly serviced and accurately calibrated by trained technicians in our state of the art workshop, ready for use at your convenience.
