Hero Hard Hat is 100% manufactured locally in South Africa from 100% Virgin HDPE (high-density polyethylene) including a ratchet liner/suspension system.
The Hero Hard Hat has been optimally designed for the mining, OGP and, industry and incorporates superior quality, injection-molded shells, providing protection and comfort. The unique safety helmet design includes an optional cap lamp mounting that allows for 2 light positions and has a cable management system that ensures cables are safely contained to avoid accidents.

SANS 1397:2003: Exceeds the applicable requirements of the South African industrial safety helmet standard.
MASC Laboratory Certification: Tested and certified under reference MS/21-8355.
DMRE Certification: The HERO Mining brochure identifies a new Department of Mineral Resources and Energy certification for mining applications.
PPE Category II: Classified as Category II personal protective equipment in the supplied brochures.
EN 397 Electrical Insulation: Approved to the optional 440 VAC electrical insulation requirement, with testing at 5,000 volts under three specified conditions.
Batch Testing: Undergoes batch testing as part of the manufacturer’s quality assurance procedures.
Regular cleaning and inspection are recommended to help maintain the helmet’s condition, hygiene and protective performance.
Cleaning: Wipe the helmet shell using a soft cloth, mild soap and water.
Suspension Inspection: Regularly inspect the ratchet liner, headband and adjustment straps for wear or damage.
Sweatband Maintenance: Replace the foam sweatband when worn, damaged or excessively soiled.
Shell Inspection: Check the shell for cracks, deformation, impact damage or visible deterioration.
Accessory Inspection: Ensure mounted earmuffs, visors and cap lamp accessories remain securely attached and functional.

For effective head protection, the HERO Hard Hat must be correctly fitted, inspected and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and workplace safety requirements.
Ensure the helmet is suitable for the identified workplace hazards before use.
Adjust the four-point ratchet suspension to provide a secure and comfortable fit.
Inspect the helmet shell, suspension system, headband and accessories before each use.
Ensure all accessories are correctly fitted and compatible with the helmet.
Secure cap lamp cables using the integrated cable management system where applicable.
Do not drill, cut, modify or otherwise alter the protective helmet shell.
Avoid using the helmet if it displays visible cracks, deformation or damage.
Replace the helmet following a significant impact, even where damage may not be immediately visible.
Follow site-specific PPE requirements when working in electrical environments, confined spaces or at height.
Correct storage and handling help protect the helmet from avoidable damage and deterioration.
Storage Environment: Store in a clean, dry location when not in use.
Sunlight & Heat: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and excessive heat during storage.
