    The Electric Hero Hard Hat is locally manufactured and has been optimally designed with protective properties in high-voltage applications, such as electric pylons & electricity substations. Maximum voltage exposure of 20000V. Exceeds the applicable requirements for a Type 1 hardhat as outlined in SANS 1397:2003. It incorporates superior quality, injection moulded shells that provide protection and comfort. The unique design includes an optional cap lamp clip that allows for 2 light positions and has a cable management system that ensures cables are safely contained to avoid accidents.

    Features of the Hero Ratchet Liner

    The rachet liner is a premium, replaceable, 4 point suspension liner with the following features:

    • Adjustable headband
    • Exception comfort
    • Replaceable foam sweatband
    • Complete with a hat or as a replacement liner
    • Large ratchet for quick, single-handed adjustment

    Certification

    PPE Category II utilizing the SANS/EU Standards: MASC 21-8355 · SANS (EN) 1397:2003 Industrial Safety Helmets

    Electrical Hero Insulation Approval:
    Approved to the electrical insulation requirement of 440VAC from EN397. This test is a current leakage test performed in 3 different conditions to ensure no risk of the electrical current being transmitted to the wearer in case a powered wire comes into contact with the helmet. Tested to 20000 Volts.

    Usage

    • Use only for the designed purposes. Do not use to sit on or use as a bucket/carrier for chemicals, etc.
    • Never cut or puncture the shell or liner.
    • Do not store items between the liner and the shell.
    • It is not recommended to wear bulky beanies or thick baseball caps under a hat.
    • Do not paint or use stickers.
    • Do not throw, drop or abuse the helmet.
    • Do not alter or modify in any way.
    • For adequate protection this helmet must fit or be adjusted to the size of the user’s head, if not fitted correctly the product may slip off the head during an accident, limiting its protective properties.

    Cleaning

    • Clean with warm water and mild soap as often as necessary.
    • Do not use any harsh, harmful chemicals, as these may deteriorate the protective properties of the material.
    • Do not use any solvents to clean the shell or liner.
    • Do not paint.

     

    Storage

    • Heat Hero has a maximum shelf life of 3 years before the helmets are put in service.
    • Store helmet in clean dry environment<49°C
    • Store out of direct sunlight and heat.
    • Hard hat should never be stored on the dash or backboard of a motor vehicle as it will be exposed to direct sunlight and poses a potential risk as a projectile if the vehicle stops suddenly. Store in the boot/ trunk of a motor vehicle.
    • Best stored at moderate temperature, indoors, free from chemicals, dust, and moisture.
    • Do not store any heavyweight weighing on the caps.
    • Can be stored for up to 3 years from the date of manufacture prior to issue, if stored incorrect conditions. Inspect before issuing for signs of degradation.
